PLB Guitars - Another part of Red Road Recording, Gemini Spirit and Red Road Music. For the last 5 years I have been building, repairing and restoring guitars. I have built 7 guitars to date and giving the client all the electronics, finishes, bodies, neck style and radius built to their specs. I also have been very busy upgrading, repairing and restoring electric and acoustic guitars. Please ask for for photos of my works, I will be glad to get them to you.
From his early years in Catholic School, Rich De Biase has spent his time drawing, painting, and hiding from nuns. A lifelong New Haven resident (by choice), Rich studied visual arts at SCSU’s Earl Hall, and his work has been featured prominently in places like Salon Lulu, Swine NYC and more often than not, his basement. While his paintings can mostly be described as expressionistic portraits, his strengths lie in his versatility in a wide range of styles and media. Although possessing zero musical ability, Rich’s new focus is creating custom detailed guitar bodies on commission (because if he can’t play them, at least he can scribble on them).
Richie and I are forming a partnership where you can get a custom painted guitar them on to one of my custom builds and/or restoration or simply an upgrade. I have loved Richie's work with oil paintings over the years and proud to be working with him in the guitar world. Ask for quotes on guitar upgrades, electronics, custom builds.......anything.

Modifying the neck shape on this Fender to be a bit flatter.

Above the Hoffner bass in Fender classic sunburst finish done by master painter Tim Suraci and fully buffed. Now time to reassemble and set up.
I am really proud how this came out. The client loved it as well.
The above acoustic and these photos on the right is a handmade mini acoustic. It was supposed to have nylon strings but someone put steel on them and it blew the bridge right off with the massive tension. This guitar is about 30 plus years old and when restored can have some good value. The back has a bad scratch and 2 stress cracks. Some frets need to be replaced and all of them filed and cleaned and rosewood fingerboard needs restoring.
Restored a pre CBS fender bass to almost new condition with top of the line electronics.
Above photo, steamed off the top, fixing a warp in the guitar, cleaned out old dried out glue, resealed and clamped down.
Custom electronics and split hum buckers.
shaved down the bridge to get the action lower, truss rod did not move much, cut custom buffalo bone nut
